Allen, a teacher at Baker High School in Tuxedo, was killed in Iraq last Tuesday along with Army National Guard Captain Philip Esposito in what was initially reported as a mortar attack on his barracks. Now those reports are under a criminal investigation by the Army.

Allen had been in Iraq less then 10 days before he was killed. He is survived by his wife and four boys.
