Police: Silvia Harden, of Manhattan, left young son in hot car at Woodbury Common Outlets

A Manhattan mother was arrested Monday for allegedly leaving her young son alone in a hot car while she shopped at the Woodbury Common Outlets.
Silvia Harden, who is a designer for Ralph Lauren, is due in Woodbury Town Court Wednesday.
A passerby contacted police upon noticing the young boy buckled into his car seat in the locked car. Police say the boy, who is younger than 2 years old, seemed scared and nervous. The child was rescued through an open window and was hot, but OK.
Orange County Child Protective Services interviewed Harden and were concerned enough about her son's welfare to take him into custody.
