Fire damages home on Paikin Drive in Spring Valley
A fire tore through a home in Spring Valley Tuesday afternoon, leaving a dozen people homeless.
The flames ignited at the house on Paikin Drive near Charlotte Place at around 3 p.m. By the time firefighters arrived, the middle and rear of the house were fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters did not reveal a cause, but said the fire does not appear to be suspicious.
Seven adults and five children from two families were displaced by the fire. They are now being cared for by the Red Cross.
