A music teacher in Rockland County is facing charges after allegedly exposing himself to drivers on Route 17.

State police say 40-year-old Clarkstown South High School teacher Kip Bonsignore was seen exposing his genitals by several motorists on Thursday.

Police say he was pulled over upstate in Liberty, located in Sullivan County, after several drivers called in.

Authorities say Bonsignore's public exposure along the busy highway ended just before 10 a.m. when he was pulled over and arrested for public lewdness.

District officials are not commenting on the allegations, saying it's a police matter.

It is not clear if Bonsignore will return to teach at Clarkstown South High School in the fall.

The suspect has been released without bail until a court appearance.
