Clarkstown Highway Superintendent Wayne Ballard takes ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
Clarkstown Highway Superintendent Wayne Ballard took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge with the help of his workers Friday.
Back in June, 53-year-old Joe Berry died from the disease. Berry worked for the Highway Department for more than 30 years, and Ballard did the challenge in his memory.
Foreman Frank Heinemann had the honor to be at the controls of a front-end loader, which dumped the water on Ballard.
Ballard challenged councilmen Frank Borelli and George Hoehmann, and Legislator Chris Carey.
The Ice Bucket Challenge has raised $53 million for the ALS Association so far.
