A Westchester man has been arrested for allegedly posing as a cab driver and attacking a mother and her three children.
Police say Pedro Vargas, of Yonkers, picked up the woman and her kids, ages 1, 3, and 5, and drove them to a shelter in Queens where he tried to sexually assault her.
While the woman was trying to escape, officials say he elbowed her 5-year-old in the head and forcibly removed her 3-year-old from the vehicle. The children were treated for minor injuries.
Varga is facing charges for assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
