Hudson Valley robbery suspect Lawrence Brown added to federal 'Most Wanted' list

Posted: Updated:

A New Jersey man wanted in a string of drugstore robberies in the Hudson Valley has been added to the federal "Most Wanted" list.

Lawrence Brown, 43, is suspected of robberies at drugstores in Hillcrest, New Windsor and Newburgh dating back to November 2013. At the robbery at a Rite Aid in New Windsor last November, Brown allegedly disguised himself as a Pepsi employee before pulling out a gun.

Federal officials say the robberies happened in the daytime and Brown always went after money in the stores' registers and safes instead of any drugs.

Brown was indicted in July for the robbery in New Windsor, along with an armed robbery of a ShopRite in Newburgh back in April. There is a $12,000 reward being offered for any information leading to his arrest.
