Rockland residents asked to cut water use because of lower levels at Lake DeForest Reservoir

Posted: Updated:

Officials in Rockland County are asking residents to cut back on their water use.

Rainfall this past August and September was only around 30 percent of the average amount for that time of year, leaving the water supply somewhat lower at Lake DeForest Reservoir.

Residents are being asked to reduce the amount of water they use, but officials tell News 12 Hudson Valley that conditions aren't at a critical stage.
