Posted: Updated:

Police say they have arrested the suspects allegedly responsible for a recent rash of car break-ins in Monsey.

The suspects were nabbed Saturday at around 4 a.m. after a neighbor tipped off police to a group of suspicious men that were going through parked cars in the area. Police say the five accused male suspects, who range in age from 15 to 19 years old, targeted unlocked cars.

Authorities say an investigation of the suspects' cars turned up cash, credit cards, identification and personal checks. The suspects are facing numerous charges.

Neighbors say they are being more vigilant in light of the break-ins.

Police are working to connect the recovered property with its' owners and possibly identify more victims.

Anyone with information on the incidents should call Ramapo police at 845-357-2400.
