Chilly weather hits Westchester

Posted: Updated:

A dramatic drop in the temperature forced people heading to work and school to bundle up Tuesday morning.

Conditions were sunny, but also gusty and cold, with the high temperatures around 32 degrees. The low temperature Tuesday night is expected to be around 19 degrees.

With the wind coming off the Hudson in Getty Square, residents in Yonkers were doing all they could to stay warm while standing outside. Clothing stores also say they have seen an increase in business from people coming in for hats and scarves.

Those who spoke to News 12 were prepared for the cold, wearing double or triple layers.
