An English professor at Rockland Community College was arrested and charged with grand larceny Tuesday.
Prosecutors say Clifford Garner stole $200,000 worth of union donations over a period of four years.
Garner also allegedly stole more than $3,000 from the college by falsely claiming work-related expenses.
Garner, who was the president of the RCC Federation of Teachers, is being held on $50,000 bail. If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in prison.
