DPW crews prepare for storm
DPW crews across the Hudson Valley are keeping a close eye on the local weather radar.
With strong rains and heavy winds expected to hit the area tomorrow, crews have the salt trucks ready. The entire Hudson Valley is under flood watch, and gusty winds could knock out power.
News 12 Meteorologist Brysen Van Eck says there could be an accumulation of snow and ice in Orange County, but expects the rest of the region to be mostly rain.
It the possibility of black ice that concerns most people who spoke with News 12. "I don't mind rain as long as it's not snow because snow means ice on the roads, slippery conditions. It might be flooding, you know we can deal with that," says Al DiMaio, of Yonkers.
