Film lovers in the Hudson Valley and nationwide spent Christmas night at the movies.
The controversial Sony picture "The Interview," starring James Franco and Seth Rogen, opened up in independent theaters Thursday, and fans lined up to see it at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Yonkers.
The satire, about a plot to kill North Korea's leader, was initially yanked from theaters last week following a cyber-attack on Sony.
News 12 spoke with movie goers at a midnight showing of the film. One viewer said the movie was a lot funnier than they expected it to be, but that some scenes were excessively violent.
The theater will be playing the movie at midnight every night until New Year's Eve, and it says tickets are going fast.
