Weather Update: Snow coats the region

Morning flurries put a coating of fresh snow on many roadways across the Hudson Valley.
News 12 Meteorologist Darryl Green says a coating fell ranging from 1.2 inches in Stony Point to 2.5 inches in Somers.
Green says the arctic air that has been gripping the area for the past few days will make outside feel like between 9 and 20 degrees due to high winds. Sunny skies should melt some of the snow and alleviate the cold.
Temperatures will dip to the single digits and teens tonight, though it will feel well below zero degrees outside. Saturday has a high of 23 degrees.
Highs are expected to go back up into the 30s on Sunday and Monday.
