NYPD officer shot in the Bronx returning home

The NYPD officer from Stony Point who was shot in the Bronx is heading home from the hospital.
The family of Officer Andrew Dossi confirmed to News 12 that he was released from Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City this afternoon.
Officer Dossi suffered gunshot wounds after he and his partner, Officer Aliro Pellerano, also from Rockland, were shot responding to a Bronx bodega robbery on Jan. 5.
Dossi has undergone numerous surgeries and will continue his rehab back at his Stony Point home.
Officer Pellerano, of Garnerville, was released from the hospital last week.
Two men were arrested and are facing charges ranging from attempted murder to robbery for the crime.
