Two women accused of passing counterfeit money at Palisades Mall

Police have arrested two women for allegedly passing counterfeit money at a store in the Palisades Mall.
Investigators say that Tiffany Brown and Asia James, both 22 years old, went to Macy's and tried to buy purses with 13 fake $100 bills.
After searching the car, police say they found about $2,000 in merchandise in their car.
Police have charged the pair with multiple felonies, including possession of a forged instrument and grand larceny.
Authorities say they think other stores in the region may have been passed fake bills and are asking anyone who has seen the two shopping to contact the Clarkstown Police Department at 845-639-5840.
