Crews working to upright capsized barge in Hudson River

Posted: Updated:

Salvage crews are continuing to work to salvage a barge which capsized in the Hudson River two weeks ago while carrying a load of crushed rock.

Crews are trying to pump out water from the barge so that a tugboat and crane can flip the barge upright.

No one was hurt when the barge capsized. Crews say that while a capsized barge is not a common occurrence, they do happen occasionally.
