A federal judge has decided to delay sentencing for the men known as the "Newburgh Four" as she considers their requests for a new trial.
The four Muslim men are appealing their convictions, claiming entrapment. Their attorney is arguing that there is no evidence their thwarted plot was premeditated.
The men were all found guilty in 2010 of plotting to blow up synagogues in The Bronx and planning to shoot down military planes at Stewart Air Base in Orange County.
They all face life in prison.
No new sentencing date has been set.
