Posted: Updated:

The new Orange Regional Medical Center in Wallkill opened its doors to more than 200 patients today.

The new facility in Wallkill, the first hospital to open in New York in more than 20 years, accepted 232 patients from two Orange Regional Medical Center campuses in Goshen and Middletown.

A hospital spokesperson says since they've been planning the move for the past three years, the patient transfers went smoothly.
