Remembering 9/11: Firefighter documentary

Posted: Updated:

The creators of a documentary chronicling the story of a firefighter from Rockland County who was killed in the World Trade Center attacks hope the film will spur people to live their lives to the fullest.

"They're going to see a very uplifting story. It has a lot of spiritual undertones," says Nyack filmmaker Anthony Fiore, who has spent most of the past three years editing a documentary entitled "Thomas J. Foley...Legacy of a Young Hero."

Foley, a 32-year-old New York City firefighter who lived in West Nyack, lived an eventful life that saw him try his hand at hunting, skydiving and even riding a bull.

The documentary will premiere at the Lafayette Theater in Suffern on Thursday and Friday. Remembering 9/11: Gerry Nevins FoundationRemembering 9/11: Indian PointRemembering 9/11: News 12 anchor recalls reporting on attacksRemembering 9/11: Could a weather pattern have altered history?
