Clarkstown officials investigate high school drinking binge

Clarkstown police and the Rockland County District Attorney's Office are investigating a high school drinking spree that left several students hospitalized over the weekend. In a post-homecoming trip Saturday night, Clarkstown North High School students planned to catch a midnight cruise around Manhattan. However, sources tell News 12 Hudson Valley that many students were drunk before they even left for the city, and that around six had to be treated for alcohol poisoning. "A lot of people get drunk, but some people took it to the next level," student Claudia Guistino says. "They didn't know where to stop." A school district spokesperson says the school will not comment on activities that did not take place on school grounds.
