Monsey boy hit by a van dies
A 9-year-old Monsey boy that was hit by a van yesterday has died from his injuries.
Officials at Westchester Medical Center say Moshe Gruber passed away at 3:30 a.m. today.
Police say the boy ran into the street after spotting his school bus and was hit by the van near the intersection of Maple and Decatur avenues. The school bus didn't have its stop sign out yet and didn't have its red lights on at the time.
The little boy was rushed to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla with severe head injuries.
No charges have been filed against driver of the van, Herman Gelbman, but the accident is still under investigation.
