Cops: Holiday shopping thieves busted after wrong-way chase

Cops say two suspected shoplifters have been arrested after a wrong-way chase that led them to crash into a town Christmas display on Main Street in Cornwall.
The incident started when Woodbury police said that they were searching for shoplifters who hit up Woodbury Commons. When a Cornwall cop tried to stop the suspects, identified as Lorenzo and Dorothy Adams, they took off.
According to officials, Lorenzo Adams attempted to drive through a traffic circle in the wrong direction, but instead went up on the grass and took out holiday decorations. Lorenzo wasn?t deterred after hitting the decorations and continued through the traffic circle, almost hitting a police officer and his car before heading down Main Street, police say.
The chase ended after the suspects fled the car and were taken down in a foot chase. Police say they found several hundred dollars worth of clothing believed to be stolen from Woodbury Commons.
