Police investigate 2nd attempted abduction this week

Police are investigating a second attempted abduction this week after a man tried to abduct a teenage girl in Highland Falls.
Investigators say a man approached a 15-year-old girl who was on her way to O'Neil High School, asking if she wanted a ride.
The girl says she didn't feel threatened, but also didn't feel that the man was being a Good Samaritan, according to officials.
The man is described as white, in his 30s and driving a white work van. The man identified himself as "Adrian."
Police say they do not believe this attempted abduction is related to an earlier attempt in Wallkill where two men tried to abduct a 9-year-old boy.
Anyone with information is asked to call Highland Park police at 845-446-1142.
