School board VP arrested for allegedly blocking poll site

The vice president of the East Ramapo School Board turned himself in to Clarkstown police this afternoon for allegedly blocking the entrance to a school polling site.
Aron Wieder was issued an appearance ticket for accusations that he blocked the door of Hillcrest Elementary School Tuesday, preventing voters from entering the polling place, and taking pictures of them.
Wieder's attorney, Al D'Agostino, said, "He's an elected official, he had the right to be there and he wasn't intimidating anybody."
Wieder is expected to be arraigned June 15.
