Most school budgets pass in the Hudson Valley

Voters in the Hudson Valley went to the polls today to vote on their school budgets, most of which were passed.
Voters in Ramapo passed a budget that included up to a 2.5-percent tax increase by a large margin.
In North Rockland, however, voters rejected a $197.5 million budget that included an up to 7.6-percent tax increase.
Chester voters also failed their budget, which was $22.5 million and included a 4.5-percent tax increase. The measure failed by only 50 votes.
Voters in Minisink Valley failed to pass an $86.3 million budget that included at 10.6-percent tax increase.
