Family of late Pace student: War service may have led to death
(12/06/10) WHITE PLAINS - The family of a Pace University student who died in his dorm room earlier last week says that their son's multiple combat service tours may have played a role in his untimely death.
Police say Luke Arneson, 25, died Wednesday night after he apparently suffered a series of seizures. They say he was found dead by a fellow student.
His aunt says he never experienced a seizure before this summer, when he returned home from his second tour of duty in Iraq. "It could be an environmental contaminant from being in Iraq," his aunt says. "We don't know."
Arneson joined the military right after graduating from Monroe-Woodbury High School in 2003.
