Officials say volunteer fire crews were called in this morning to rescue a woman whose Deerpark home was surrounded by rising water.
Sparrowbush Fire Chief Jack Flynn and Port Jervis Assistant Chief Frank Fuller say they had to zip-line across the Neversink River to rescue Donna Dunnet.
Dunnet, 65, lives in a home in the Cuddebackville section of Deerpark that officials say was nearly impossible to reach with the rising water.
Officials say although Dunnet didn't feel threatened, she needed to be rescued because she has diabetes and is partially blind.
Flynn says he wouldn't have changed anything, and that he would rather be safe than sorry.
