A hunter is recovering at a hospital after being found injured in the woods surrounding Goshen Monday night.
John Sappah's wife called police in the early evening after her husband didn?t come home from hunting.
A search party was launched, including members of the Goshen fire and police departments with assistance of the New York State Police Aviation unit.
He was found at around 11:20 p.m. in the woods after being injured from falling out of a tree stand that broke. Police say he fractured his pelvis and couldn't walk.
Cops say that he did not have a cell phone on him to call for help and that had he not been found, he could have died in the freezing weather.
