The new full-body scanners and pat-downs that have tightened security at airports across the country could now be coming to local train stations.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano has hinted at the possibility of increasing security measures for all travelers. Many terrorism experts agree transportation hubs are a target and it may be time to tighten security on the rails.

Many frequent travelers say it would be taking security too far, especially for those who ride commuter trains to work on a daily basis. Others believe the extra measures are worth it when safety is concerned.

Napolitano has also suggested enhancing security before boarding cruise ships and other boats.
