Police were called out to the Ramapo River this morning after a passerby spotted a vehicle floating in the river.
Police say they found a black Jeep Grand Cherokee partially submerged in the river and the driver was nowhere to be found.
During the investigation, police found what they say they believe to be cocaine on the bank of the river near the vehicle.
A short time later, the alleged driver, 25-year-old Oliver Schlender, turned himself in and is being questioned by police for alleged possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
