Posted: Updated:

After finishing the counting of absentee ballots, the Orange County Board of Elections says that state Assemblywoman Nancy Calhoun will retain her seat in her race against Roxanne Donnery.

Calhoun bested her Democratic challenger by a little more than 500 votes, winning with 19,467 votes to Donnery's 18,925.

A team of lawyers reviewed all of the absentee ballots to ensure that they are in order and that no objections could be filed.
