State report: Laurel Plains Elementary School is safe
A state Department of Health report released today says that Laurel Plains Elementary School is safe for staff and students to return to.
The school has been closed since late September after sewer-like odors made staff and students sick.
A second report indicated that some changes should be made to the sewer system serving the school. Those changes are expected to be completed late next week.
Students of Laurel Plains have been attending classes at nearby Hillcrest Elementary School.
