Newly elected Hayworth ready to get to work
Mere hours after Rep.-elect Nan Hayworth (R-N.Y.) defeated incumbent Rep. John Hall (D-N.Y.) in the 19th Congressional District race, Hayworth says she?s ready to get to work.
"We have not a moment to spare. We have an economy to bring back and a future to restore," said Hayworth.
Hayworth along with her fellow Republicans campaigned on the promises of stopping the federal bailouts, retooling the health care legislation and reducing taxes.
But the question remains if the new agenda will get accomplished or if it will become mired down in partisan gridlock. "Let's see how we can work together, not as partisans, but as Americans," said Hayworth.
