Cuomo wins big despite GOP gains statewide

After a tough campaign against Republican Carl Paladino, Attorney General and now Gov.-elect Andrew Cuomo (D-N.Y) is celebrating victory.
Cuomo took the day off yesterday, making no public appearances, to spend time with his family after being on the campaign trail for weeks.
He beat Paladino in a landslide, capturing 62 percent of the vote. He will become the second Cuomo to be governor of New York after his father, Mario Cuomo, was governor from 1983 to 1994.
Cuomo, however, must get to work immediately, filling administration positions as his inauguration is only weeks away.
