Democrat Carlucci defeats Republican Vanderhoef for state Senate
Democrat David Carlucci has defeated Republican Scott Vanderhoef for the state Seante seat in the 38th District. The seat was vacated by the late state Sen. Thomas Monahan, who died of cancer in June.

Democrat David Carlucci has defeated Republican Scott Vanderhoef for the state Seante seat in the 38th District.
The seat was vacated by the late state Sen. Thomas Monahan, who died of cancer in June.
Carlucci said in an interview that he is ready to move Albany forward, out of the 20th Century and into the 21st Century.
