GOP looks to Hayworth to defeat Hall in bid to take back U.S. House
The nation's eyes are focused on New York's 19th Congressional District race as the Republicans are looking to take back the U.S. House of Representatives.
Democratic incumbent Rep. John Hall (D-N.Y.) is in one of the tightest races in the state against Republican challenger Nan Hayworth.
Hayworth, who is an ophthalmologist and mother, used the tea party's anti-incumbent movement to propel her onto the Republican ticket. Hayworth was not involved in politics prior to this race.
Hall, who is a two-term congressman, is hoping that political experience will help drive him to victory.
Either way, polling shows this race to be incredibly close and may came down to a handful of votes before a victor can be decided.
