Students allege police brutality after NY shooting

A lawyer says three college footballplayers were brutalized by police when they tried to help ateammate who had been shot by a New York officer.

Attorney Bonita Zelman told The Associated Press that one playerbegged police to let him perform CPR. She says an officer put a gunin his ribs, threatened to shoot him and arrested him.
She says two other players were subdued by stun gun.
Zelman said Wednesday the players told her that Danroy Henry ofEaston, Mass., lay dying and handcuffed on the pavement with no onehelping him.
Police say Henry was shot early Sunday when he sped off in hiscar, striking two officers who had responded to a bar disturbance.
The Mount Pleasant police chief did not immediately return acall for comment.
