Gay activists enraged over Paladino remarks

Gay activists are enraged over recent anti-gay remarks made by New York Republican gubernatorial hopeful Carl Paladino.
While speaking to a group of Orthodox Jewish leaders Sunday, Paladino said he doesn't support gay marriage or the lifestyle. Despite pressure, Paladino did not apologize for his remarks.
At the Columbus Day parade in Manhattan Monday, Paladino defended his words, "I think my remarks were very clear. I'm 100 percent into gay rights, except gay marriage, and that's it."
Many gay activists feel Paladino is sending the wrong message, especially on the heels of recent anti-gay crimes. Paladino's Democratic opponent, Andrew Cuomo, called the Republican's comments reckless and offensive.
