Thousands line streets to pay respects to fallen Marine
Thousands lined the streets in Greenwood Lake today to pay their respects as a motorcade carrying the body of 22-year-old Marine Lance Cpl. Scott Lynch passed through.
Lynch, who was serving in Afghanistan, died Wednesday during combat operations.
For family and friends, Lynch will be remembered for being a man who was always there to help.
"He's genuine. He was always there for you and we were always there for him," remembered Russell Sirico, a friend of Lynch.
He is survived by his wife, Tanya, his parents and two brothers.
Visitation will begin tomorrow at the Holy Rosary Church in Greenwood Lake at 1 p.m.
The funeral will be held there on Wednesday at 10 a.m.
