Cuomo picks up support in White Plains amid war of words

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Cuomo picked up the support of pro-choice and women's rights groups at a rally in White Plains last week on the heels of news that he will debate his Republican opponent in less than two weeks.
Cuomo gathered with about 100 supporters on the front steps of the Westchester County Center Friday, where he was endorsed by Planned Parenthood and the Coalition for Legal Abortion.
Cuomo assailed his opponent, Carl Paladino, at the rally, saying that Paladino's stance on abortion is "extreme."
Both Cuomo and Paladino are engaged in a battle over allegations made by Paladino that Cuomo engaged in an extramarital affairs. When asked to comment on the allegations at the rally, Cuomo said that there are more important things to worry about than he and Paladino's personal lives.
