Fallen Yonkers firefighter Patrick Joyce was honored in Albany Tuesday, as his name was inscribed on the Fallen Firefighters Memorial Wall near the state Capitol.
Nine other fallen firefighters were also honored at the ceremony that was attended by Gov. David Paterson and other state leaders.
Joyce was killed last October while attempting to fight a fire in a Yonkers multi-family home. He died after he was forced to jump from the building. Two other firefighters were injured in the blaze that investigators later determined to be caused by arson.
