The Buffalo developer was interviewed by Conservative leadersbefore a public vote Wednesday afternoon. Paladino now has the united support of two parties againstDemocratic front-runner Andrew Cuomo. Republicans running statewide have needed the Conservative lineto attract disaffected Democrats and independents. Conservative Party nominee Rick Lazio withdrew from the raceMonday. He lost the Republican nomination to Paladino in a primarytwo weeks ago. The general election is Nov. 2.
