After more than 160 years of service, the Bellvale post office in Orange County has officially closed.
The office was housed inside Mama's Boy restaurant on Route 17A and was forced to close because its lease expired at the end of August.
The U.S. Postal Service says it is still in the process of finding a new location.
The manager of the restaurant says he's been extending the lease to the post office for months and would have continued to do so until they found a new location.
Until then, residents can continue to use the Bellvale zip code and pick up their mail at the Greenwood Lake post office.
