Car crashes into Valley Cottage Rite Aid

Posted: Updated:

A car crashed into a Rite Aid in Valley Cottage this afternoon.

Police say the vehicle slammed through the front of the store on Lake Road just after 4 p.m.

They say no one was injured, but are still investigating what caused the accident.

The driver's husband, who was not in the car at the time, says he believes his wife may have hit the wrong pedal as she was trying to park in the store's handicapped spot.

Police say the Rite Aid will be closed until it is approved to be open again by a building inspector.
