'Newburgh Four' trial resumes

Posted: Updated:

The trial for the four men accused of plotting to blow up synagogues in the Bronx and airplanes at Stewart Airport resumed yesterday after the Labor Day holiday.

The main focus of the proceedings was once again surveillance tapes which allegedly show John Cromitie, the alleged ringleader of the plot, conspiring with the confidential informant about wanting to kill Jews and plotting targets for their attacks.

The defense insists the four men were entrapped in a plot which was mostly created by the FBI.
