Police probe home burglaries in Blooming Grove

Posted: Updated:

The Blooming Grove community was on edge Friday after three homes were broken into during the middle of the day.

Police say the houses on Pine Hill, Old Town and Sears roads were broken into on Thursday between 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. by the same person, or group of people.

They say the suspects were able to break in through open windows or pushing out air conditioners.

Residents say just a few weeks ago, a few cars in the same neighborhood were broken into.

Police say they are unsure the latest incidents are related to the earlier burglaries. They are asking anyone with information to call 914-496-9161.
