It?s a parent?s worst nightmare to find their child helpless and not breathing. For a New City mom, that?s exactly how she found her 1-year-old boy Tuesday night after the boy was playing in their backyard pool.
Thanks to the quick thinking of her 7-year-old daughter who called 911, dispatcher Beverly Brooks was able to talk the mother through the necessary steps to perform CPR on a 1-year-old.
By the time paramedics arrived at the scene, the mom was able to revive the boy.
The boy is listed in good condition at Maria Fareri Children's Hospital at the Westchester Medical Center.
