Rt. 17A reopens after truck crash topples telephone pole

Route 17A reopened in Tuxedo yesterday after a delivery truck driver slammed into a telephone pole, sending live wires into the street and closing down that portion of the road for most of the day.
The accident was reported at around 5 a.m. after police say the bread delivery truck driver somehow lost control of his vehicle, slamming into a telephone pole on the side of the road near the Renaissance Faire.
Telephone company technicians had to keep the van in place while they replaced the broken pole.
No one was injured in the crash.
