Family members are trying to pick up the pieces after an apparent accident at Harriman State Park claimed the lives of a Hillburn couple.
George Powell Jr., 62, and 56-year-old Victoria Dufreese were killed when their SUV plunged into Lake Tiorati Wednesday.
Their nephew, Deke DeFreese said, ?It?s hard for all of us. We're still all in disbelief. The whole thing seems surreal."
Police have said that Powell was on his way to a medical appointment when the accident happened.
Investigators are still trying to determine why the vehicle went into the lake.
